I was just thinking about future episodes the Simpsons should do and I immediately thought of an Arrested Development episode that could either be based on The Simpsons "real" life, or a story about Homer getting money, losing it all, then the family going nuts. Or, it could be a future episode.

It would of course be narrated by Ron Howard

And maybe Michael Hurwitz should write it.

Either way, it would probably end up being good.

And for those of you who don't like entire episodes based on one thing, remember Behind the Laughter.

So what do you think, should they do it?

...No, sounds pretty stupid to me. No offence.

ummm. no peg.

in all seriousness, though, i don't think it would work. there's just not enough material to sustain an entire episode parodying AD. they could do some voice over and use the parody for only one scene (like they did brilliantly with the Wonder Years parody in "three men and a comic book"), but not an entire episode. of course, i wasn't a fan of "behind the laughter" so, i'm not exactly your target audience.

As much as I love AD, I doubt it would work. Plus a lot of people would be like "What the hell is this supposed to be?"

Even though Arrested Development and The Simpsons are both great shows, I just don't think it would be that funny if they combined. Plus everyone who would watch would have no idea what's going on.

However, it might be funny if they just did one parody scene of AD. But an entire episode probably wouldn't work.

It might be funny as a 30-second TV thing like the aforementioned married with children scene

Maybe Lisa would be the only one who likes it

I don't think it would work well

I hated Arrested Development and I'm glad it's gone.

I would not want to see any reference to that trash pile on the Simpsons, not ever under any circumstances.

There are so many things wrong with that post.

Anyway, as great of a show AD is, I don't think an entire episode of The Simpsons parodying it would work.
