Before I get any further: I know that James L Brooks and Matt Groening have been on the show. And Doris Grau. And Michael Carrington, who's written a couple episodes.
I've seen some episodes that in the end credits give credit to various writers or other Simpsons employees. Dana Gould has had several credits, Marc Wilmore was in Mad mad mad Marge and Terry Greene has been in a couple (I think Three Gays of the Condo was one)
So my question is this: Who do these guys play and have any other backstage personalities ever given their voice before?
I am just talking about voice credits by the way. Not the image of the writer appearing.

Michael Carrinton was Sideshow Raheem and the Krusty Anniversary Announcer in I Love Lisa, the Black Comedian in Homer and Apu, and the Naval Drill Sergeant in Simpson Tide.
Marc Wilmore was Doctor Wilmore in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge, who was the third doctor that examined Marge besides Dr. Foster and Dr. Zweig.
I'm not sure about Dana Gould's credits... I personally couldn't pick who he was. I know he was in Jaws Wired Shut, but who in it he was I have no idea. He might have done a few animal noises like Frank Welker, Jess Harnell and John Kassier have done. Incidentally, the "One Step Beyond Forever" guide book doesn't acknowledge him at all.
Not sure who Terry W. Greene did inThree Gays of the Condo, but I'm pretty sure he was Sergeant Activity in Bart's fantasy in Fat Man and Little Boy, which I base solely on the fact it didn't sound like a Hank, Dan, Harry or Karl voice.

There was also Ken Levine credited in Dancin' Homer and (I think) John Frink in Girl Who Slept Too Little

SNPP capsule says he was a "Producer".

Ah, yes. Ken Levine was Dan Horde, the Springfield Baseball commentator.
And that John Frink credit was a mistake by Fox. They had him listed, for some reason, as a guest voice on their site, but as I recall, he was never actually credited in the end. He was merely the writer of the show. However, there's a chance his appearance may have been cut, like Joe Mantegna's have been a few times.

Didn't Josh Weinstein say he made the sound of the crab in 'Summer of 4 Ft. 2'?
