Heheh... very British.
Makes my old radio show seem that much better. Good effort though, guys. You gotta work on a format. Seems unorganized and needs editing. It takes time, but you can make it sound a lot better with a little editing.
Talking about happenings on a message board just seems kinda funny to me. Also, your guest on the show, couldn't really hear anything he said. Work on trying to improve audio levels before you start recording.
In one instance of one of my shows, during editing i had to increase the volume of one of the people talking since it was just too low. You want to make sure all levels are the same or it'll sound bad.
If you want, i can upload one of my old radio shows for you to listen to. Maybe it'll help you out a bit.

Lol, ok Brian. I'll try that. It's very hard because we have to record with a microphone next to a speaker. is there any other way?

The way i did it was to have a split cable going from my speaker out to a stereo system (along with my speakers) so it recorded any audio coming from my computer onto a cassette tape directly as well as going to my headphones so i could hear it. After we finished recording the show, i took my stereo and had a cable going from the stereo headphones to my line in on my computer, and recorded it from the cassette tape into wav format using Cool Edit Pro (the show was done around 2000/01 so there is probably better software out there now). I then edited the show, and coverted to mp3 and real media (for website streaming).
Tips:
Before the show, do a test with all the people that are on the show and get them to start talking and check on your record if all the audio levels are equal. If not, get them to make some modifications, if not, try and make modifications yourself.
Editing is key. Our shows would take about an hour or more to record, but after editing, i was able to scale it down to about a half hour. No one wants to hear a 5 second delay because of internet lag. Not to mention feedback, or echo voices cause someone is using speakers, and you can hear things like 2 or 3 times. Get people to use headphones.
When i did the show, i had a script of all the things that would be discussed, and i would give it to all the people that would be on the show, so they could prepare what they might want to talk about.
Anyway, here is one of the shows so you can see what kind of quality it was. Think this is a show from summer of 2000 or so.

Recording to tape on stereo: Computer headphone jack to mic in, or video in on stereo (male to male miniplug cable). My stereo has RCA inputs for audio. So i went and bought a mini plug to RCA coverter cable.
Recording from stereo to computer: Headphone jack on stereo to mic or line in on computer. Line-in is usually better if you have it. Again, male to male mini plug cable.
Pretty simple stuff.
