Mike Nelson provided the commentary track for the most recent DVD release of "Plan 9 from Outer Space", which also features a lot of great extras and the best print of Ed Wood's anti-classic that I've ever seen, in both black and white and in color. This is from the same company that released the colorized "Reefer Madness" and "House on Haunted Hill" DVDs. Anyone own this yet, or planning on purchasing it?

Comparison between this release and the older Image Entertainment version can be found here: http://dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDReviews20/plan_9_from_outer_space_dvd_review.htm

Mike Nelson should do a commentary for every movie...

I may get it.

I wish they would start showing MST3K on TV again. G4 needs to pick it up, like they did Star Trek: TNG. Mike Nelson was my favorite host.

I really should get this. Having a real live Brain do commentary on legendarily infamous B-movies was a great decision. From what I've heard, Mike's commentary for "Reefer Madness" was a riot ("And even though they haven't been invented yet, she wakes up craving Doritos").

Awesome post - I didn't even know there was a new DVD out for my favorite bad film of all time.
