There's a huge dilemma there in what the current ECW wrestlers who are employed by the WWE will do. RVD & Joey Styles are my personal worries. Altghough they'd be better off relative to the promotion in ECW, I certainly wouldn't want to see RVD jeapordise his career by deciding to move back over to ECW.

And Smackdown wasn't all that bad...it just wasn't that exciting. There were some stinkers on RAW last year, this Smackdown had them beat.

They should give ECW its on show late on like Saturdays on USA. I liked the whole poor production of ECW so I hope they stick to small venues and the shitty camera work like before. I really like this idea because this means they will be able to bring up some new "ECW" talent and we can see that style that has been missing from wrestling since ECW folded.

I really don't believe that's the way they will go with it. Why even make it ECW if it will just be put on in the WWE ring before Raw and SD? That's not ECW. I think Vince knows that there is a huge base of fans that enjoyed the hardcore style of wrestling in a small, intimate environment. I bet you they try to recreate that.

Absolutely correct. I have friends who wrestle the indies, and as any "smart" fan knows, half of wrestling entails making your opponent look good and making sure you don't hurt him/yourself. They were both working hurt, but Henry injured them in different body parts than they were protecting (Angle-neck, Batista-triceps) On an unrelated topic, I do anticipate a DX reunion, as the crowd reaction the Shawn-Hunter taunts elicits too much of a genuine reaction from fans to have it lead nowhere.

Pay per view last night was ok

Shelton - RVD was a great match as expected.

It sucked that there was no real payoff for Shawn getting the big ladder, I mean he jumped on Spirit Squad and they put him through a table but eh It took long and like I said didn't deliver.

The whole McMahon vs. God angle and god coming down to the ring is one of the corniest worst angles EVER.

Shawn doing the crotch chop got a HUGE pop.

Big Show - Kane sucked. Kane hearing voices that WE can hear also is stupid. Big Show acts like he has no clue whats going on and the match was boring.

J.R. acted like he was drunk or on medication the whole night. Including him saying "That was bullshit" when Michaels lost. Also some weird things he was saying like "my eyes are watering".

Main even was good, but I HATE that Cena won but I suppose its for the better if Cena fights RVD at One Night Stand. There would be TONS of heat on him.

Trips taking out people at the end was nice as well as the 7 crotch chops he did which also got another big pop.

I expect Tripple H to get pissed off he keeps losing the title and get mad at Vince teaming up with HBK down the line. DX reforms maybe at Summerslam cause I think it will be a big deal when it happens.

Not to mention this defeat actually renders Triple H's "King Of Kings" gimmick virtually useless. I kept expecting that Triple H will win at Backlash because his "king Of Kings" gimmick suggested he will regain the championship. In fact, I thought Triple H would win at backlash and WWE will develop a feud between him and RVD and RVD will cash in his MITB contract at ECW by fighting Triple H for the title.

Given the recent decline of support for Cena, WWE's continuous portrayal of him as the guy who always "overcomes the odds" is illogical.

As for Smackdown!, with Orton suspended and Angle injured, who the hell will even carry that show ?

I saw it, and although those previews are frequently wrong, this one has substance. Shawn and HHH will reunite soon and they will be a force to be reckoned with, no doubt. They may not go as far with the dick jokes as they did back in the day, but rest assured they will have a biting edge and make a serious impact on storylines in the upcoming months.

DX is my favorite stable of all time even beating out the NWO. I started watching wrestling as a little kid when the Ultimate Warrior was the shit in the early 90's but stopped for awhile when I started watching again in late 97. Shawn Michaels was my favorite wrestler and still is. I will always mark out for DX cause im a big fan of the whole Kliq (Michaels, HHH, Nash, Hall, X-Pac, Justin Credible). I think its a great idea to bring them back because it would be something new and fresh because they havn't teamed up in 8 or 9 years. The fans want DX and maybe it will bring some old school fans from the Attitude era back.

out spoiler information regarding the next RAW pay-per-view Vengeance. The
preview for Vengeance states that Degeneration X will reunite, something
that has been teased for the past few weeks on RAW. Both Shawn Michaels and
Triple H have been doing the DX crotch chop sign and Michaels even acts like
he used to do when he was part of DX. Last Monday's face to face encounter
between the former DX members was certainly a sign of more things to come.

Dave Meltzer reports that Mark Henry's WWE contract has been extended. Henry signed a 10 year guarenteed deal with the WWE back in 1996 after he was in the Olympics for $1 million dollars a year. Henry's new deal is not guarenteed and lasts through 2007. His money has been cut down from $1 million dollars to $300 grand.

Benoit and Booker can get a good match out of young guys on the way up. Henry can't.

Benoit, as hard as it is to say is a dead end. He lacks charisma and he lacks the character that is needed to gain credibility (and stimulate the modern audience) in the main event picture. Booker T is much more promising.

Benoit is one of if not the best wrestler in the WWE and I hate how they have him as a high mid carder when he should be main eventing SmackDown! and Nebuchanezzar your logic is flawed about Benoit because he may lack charisma but so does Mark Henry and he is main event status. The vast majority of fans like Benoit because they know hes not charasmatic but that he puts on great matches.

and on the topic of signing superstars for ECW, I really want to see the Dudleys, they left WWE on bad terms and have a deal with TNA but im sure if WWE offers enough money they will leave TNA, another guy I would like to see WWE raid from them is Raven.

This just isn't true. Benoit is popular with the internet folks and other smarts because of his technical abilities and old school style. To the average wrestling fan he comes off as stiff on the mic and unable to get any real heat...which isn't far off. I like the guy, but he can be a bit boring.

Also, I don't think the Dudley's left WWE on bad terms. They had some time off to recover from some injuries and during that time their contract ran up. They couldn't agree to terms with WWE so they signed a deal with TNA. There isn't any bad blood that I've heard of, at least.

Lol there is bad blood from the whole legal issue WWE forced. The Dudleys had the name the Dudleys before they ever came to WWE and it was understood that when they left ECW that Paul Heyman had given them permission to use there gimmick in there future endeavors (sp?). Well when WWE fired them they argued that since WWE owned the rights to ECW they could not use the Dudleys name which obviousley pissed the Dudleys off. they were in a bind since the verbal agreement with Paul Heyman was never in writing he just told them. I read a few weeks ago that Devon said there is no way he would ever go back to WWE which I thought was a little absurd, if WWE is dedicated to recreating the ECW product that is where the Dudleys should be but then again its there career move, I find TNA to be boring I mean its like a softcore ECW with WCW storylines. Those dont mix well.

RAW this week kinda sucked. Half the audience didn't even know who Tommy Dreamer bloody well was. And what bothers me even more is that three quarters of the fans that are WWE fans now didn't watch or know about ECW before it came up last year, and yet suddenly everyone is a huge fan of it (despite no reaction for Dreamer). I have a sad feeling that they're going to want into the ECW brand, but I have an even sadder feeling for them that they won't exactly be...accepted by the ECW style.

From what I read (mainly from Foley's book [No, I was not a wrestliong fan in 1995]), it was a damn good promo, although as mentioned there was no mention of Bischoff in the real promo. Actually, the story in Foley is good is quite humourous, I reccomend it.

WWE officials made some informal contact in regards to bringing back the Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. As a matter of fact, Road Dogg was directly approached about coming back. However, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are still under contract to TNA. Should the duo ever come back to WWE, there will be a penance to pay due to the inflammatory remarks they've made towards Triple H in interviews in the past.

Also, there has been some talk of having Shawn Michaels and Triple H add one or two younger wrestlers to the group to give them the rub like in the case with The Evolution faction. At this point, the "DX Reunion" set for June will simply consist of Shawn Michaels and Triple H being a tag team.

Also, Heyman/Foley was good as usual. Lots of great history of ECW and the career of Mick Foley put in each persons promos that the audience failed to understand. There should have been a much bigger reaction when Foley said there's only four ways someone comes out of ECW.
