- WWE.com posted a brief message on Marty Jannetty's status with the company. "World Wrestling Entertainment has broken all professional ties with Marty Jannetty," WWE.com wrote. Obviously, he will no longer be part of the McMahon-Michaels storyline that he was a part of the previous two weeks on Raw.

Now we all know that the WWE is lame right now,What would you change to make it better to watch?
Make the matches more then 5 minutes long and manage to have more than 3 of them in a 2 hour episode of Raw. I don't watch wrestling for soap opera bullshit, this is why I still have all my old ECW and FMW tapes.
Matt B.
03-08-2006, 04:09 PM
I would change Raw to ECW Raw cause WWE still owns ECW and give Smackdown to WWE.

yes because ecw did so much better with higher production values and high profile stars
what i would do to change wwe is for the writers not to treat the fans liek idiots and actually play to their repsonces and be able to change storylines if it doesn't get over after several attempts

UT, don't talk about ECW like you know whats up with it. ECW was best when it was on saturday nights, 10pm on your local channel. When they got into the PPVs it was cool, but when they got into the TNN shit it started getting stale. And sikkbones, you don't watch wrestling for "soap opera shit"? There were ECW storylines that were so much more complex than WWF storylines that they WERE soap operas.

actually at the current moment i only watch TNA....
I'd take the belt off Triple H, and KEEP it off him, but keep him in a semi-main event position, challenging for the belt on occasion, and failing. His time as champ is long gone, and at this point, his success is merely a product of politics, and a lucky marriage. He needs to be reminded he's only one divorce away from obscurity.
I'd fire almost the entire creative team, make Paul Heyman and Bret Hart head of creative, and hire only ex-wrestlers to the writing team. I'd also make the active wrestlers write their own promos, so that way, if they're hung out to dry, it's their own fault. Shoots are permitted within context.
I'd push the cruiserweight division to the moon, basically ripping off TNA's gimmick matches, for a specific reason. The lighter guys are more physically capable of handling really brutal bumps, Spike Dudley is living proof of this. The bigger guys can't take the crazy bumps most of them have to endure (Batista), and if the focus and expectation for these huge dudes to perform stunts only gymnasts have any right performing was re-directed towards the cruiserweights, it would be a win-win situation. Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels should NOT be doing fucking moonsaults. I say lets the acrobats do the acrobatics, and let the big guys just knock the shit out of each other, old-school.
More blood. Definitely more blood, actually, more violence overall would be awesome.
Keep the microphone time to a minimum. Let the guys talk when they really have something to talk about, otherwise, just shut up and kick ass.
We'd never see Shelton Benjamin's mother, GoldDust, or any other freak characters again, unless they are absolutely decimated like The Road Warriors did to jobbers.

Steve Austin will be appearing on the return of Saturday Night's Main Event to NBC on March 18th. He will be participating in a beer drinking skit with JBL.
John Cena made a return to his former stomping grounds, Springfield College in Massachusetts, yesterday. Cena starred as a linebacker on the football team during his time at the school. His visit was filmed by WWE for a future airing. Cena gave what was supposedly an extremely funny speech to the football team.

is that an edict agianst insults re: old floppy tits?
Flair won the championship in 92. He is one of the greatest wrestlers ever.
Flair has also ruined every match he has been involved with in recent memory. It is excruciating to watch his old, slow ass try and keep up with the new guys, all he has at his disposal is the same knife-edged chops (at least thirty per match), the thumb to the eye, and he'll get back-body-dropped at least five times, and once outside.
I detest that man, he is just embarassing to watch, he's is holding back other more deserving wrestlers, who would get more air time and chances at a title with his washed-up old ass OUT.
F@ck Ric Flair, I don't get all marked up very often, but this is white heat. I hate him because I know what he is like in real life, he seems to be a bitter old man desperately clinging to his spot in the business, trying to coast on past glories. It doesn't fool me, I want him gone.

The Full Backstage Story On Marty Jannetty/WWE
By Brian Cantor
03/13/2006 - Source: Wrestling-Observer Newsletter
Although Marty Jannetty said that WWE is working on resolving his legal issues, sources within WWE say that there are absolutely no plans to bring the wrestler back to television.
Following his legal trouble last year, Jannetty was placed on house arrest until 2007. Nonetheless, WWE decided to bring him in for the Michaels-Vince storyline and reportedly got him a pass to work one day a week.
Jannetty, however, ran into some sort of problem with a urine test (not necessarily a positive test for a substance), and it became clear that WWE would not be able to use him on the 3/6 edition of RAW. Thus, the company announced its decision to part ways with the wrestler.
Creative was told that it has no obligation to create a storyline opening for Jannetty to return at a future date.
Jannetty's involvement in the storyline likely would have culminated with the wrestler turning on Shawn Michaels.

Chuck Palumbo returns to WWE
By Ed Williams III
March 13, 2006
Chuck Palumbo is a true testament to the old adage that hard work pays off. Palumbo first came to WWE back in 2001, when Mr. McMahon bought WCW. Palumbo enjoyed a successful tag team career, winning the World Tag Team Championship on two occasions with partner Billy Gunn. Palumbo’s success began to fade, however, and he was released from his contract in 2004. But the former champion didn’t let the news keep him down. Palumbo went overseas and began working in Japan to hone his skills in hopes that he would one day return to WWE. His hard work has paid off, and that day has come. Palumbo recently signed a new WWE contract, and WWE.com caught up with him to talk about his time in Japan, how he got his new contract, who he wants to get in the ring with and much more.
WWE.com: What was it like to find out you were coming back to WWE?
Chuck Palumbo: It feels really good, and I’m really excited about it. After a non-televised match with Matt Hardy, John Laurinaitis told me they wanted to sign me back. I was at RAW and had a non-televised match against Rob Van Dam and then I had a match with Hardy before SmackDown. I received a call about a week prior to the matches. I was leaving Japan and on my way to Mexico City. They asked me to come in when I was done in Mexico so they could watch me in a couple matches, so I flew to RAW from Mexico City.
WWE.com: Have you ever worked with Hardy or RVD in the past?
Chuck Palumbo: I worked with Hardy on many occasions. I worked with him when I first came in from WCW and then also a few times after that when he was still with his brother Jeff as the Hardy Boyz. I don’t think I ever worked with RVD before, but we had a good match together.
WWE.com: Before hearing any feedback from anyone, how did you personally feel the matches went?
Chuck Palumbo: I felt good about them. We had a great crowd response. I thought they were strong, aggressive matches.
WWE.com: Were there any hard feelings when you were released?
Chuck Palumbo: I actually left on good terms. At that time, I don’t think I was where the company wanted me in terms of aggressiveness. I think I needed to be more aggressive on a nightly basis. So, I think it was an opportune time for me to go to Japan. I immediately went there, and there’s no better way to step up your aggressiveness than to go to Japan. Anyone who’s worked in Japan knows that the style is different. It’s what they call strong style, and you have no choice but to be aggressive, otherwise you’ll be taken advantage of and eaten up. I worked with Great Muta right away and guys who were on top over there and got good feedback. That was the company’s recommendation from the get-go, too, so there were no hard feelings. The door was open for me to come back in the future if I improved.
WWE.com: How did you start working in Mexico as well?
Chuck Palumbo: The CMLL promoters were in Japan and saw me wrestle. They asked me if I was interested in wrestling for them when I had time off from Japan, so I took that opportunity as well.
WWE.com: What are your goals now that you’re back?
Chuck Palumbo: I just want to work towards a championship. I think I’m ready to hang with anyone.
WWE.com: Is there anyone in particular you’d like to get in the ring with?
Chuck Palumbo: Three guys I’d really like to get in the ring with are Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Those are the guys. They know the business inside and outside the ring. The opportunity to work with those guys brings you up another level. There’s no one better than those three.
WWE.com: You’ve been primarily a tag team competitor in the past. Does it matter to you if you’re in singles or tag team competition?
Chuck Palumbo: I definitely want to be in singles competition. I had fun in the tag team division, but I’m ready to be a singles competitor and be on my own.
WWE.com: What can the fans expect to see from Chuck Palumbo now that he’s back in WWE?
Chuck Palumbo: They’re going to see a whole new person. They’re going to see a lot of aggressiveness. I have a no-nonsense wrestling style, getting right to the point. It’s not about being pretty. I’m going to have a rough, rugged style – just get down to business
Shannon Moore gone from TNA, re-signed by WWE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently Moore was working on a per appearance deal with TNA and WWE has re-signed him...
From Wrestling-Edge...
Quote:
WWE re-signed Shannon Moore today.
Moore had been working in TNA as of late but was not under contract with the company
Honestly, I could care less about Shannon Moore and am not disappointed at all about this. In fact I'm pretty happy about it. Moore was just not on the level of the guys on the X Division roster like AJ, Daniels, Joe, Sabin, Shelley, Williams, Aries, Strong, Dutt, Lethal, the list goes on if I'm forgetting anyone.
His potential feud with AJ Styles was cancelled anyway, most likely because it wouldn't make TNA look good to have their top guy be in a feud with a former WWE jobber. He was unimpressive to me in his TNA appearances, I don't feel like he ever would've been X Division champion material. I'm glad he's gone, let him job on Velocity from now on and let TNA showcase the real talent in the X Division.

Two different moves. The Van Daminator is the throw-the-guy-a-chair-then-kick-it-in-his-face move. The Van Terminator is where you get the guy in the one corner, drape a chair (or in Shane's case, a trash can) over him, then go over to the far corner on the same side, go up to the top rope, jump all the way to the other side and drop kick the chair/trash can in his face.

Gotcha. That's something he didn't do much of in ECW. Sabu usually did the drape the chair over the guys face and run and drop kick it, but RVD never did much of the jump across the whole ring to do it thing. At least not enough to get a name for it.

I really miss the hardcore title, I mean those hardcore matches were always good no matter who was in it, Al Snow vs. Hardcore Holly for example they had an awesome match in I believe 99 where Snow got thrown in a river in I think Cincinnatti.

I know, that wasn't what I was implying. I much prefer Styles to be there over Coach doing play-by-play. I'm just saying the original idea of getting rid of JR and going in a new direction when he was still doing a great job wasn't great. He is going to be at Wrestlemania. Vince and HBK are fighting at WM to settle a feud that "started" when Vince told Shawn to say how he screwed Bret. If you think Bret is not going to have anything to do with this match, you are nuts.

My hunch is that Bret's agreed to appear and do whatever he's scripted to do. Vince put out a DVD with his input instead of the hatchet job he would have without it, and now he's putting him in the Hall of Fame. I don't see him doing those things without getting something in return, and obviously, a Mania run-in is what he wants.
Of course, Bret could say he's going to do it and then no-show, if he's feeling vengeful. I think he'll go for the staged, on-camera revenge instead. But I'm not betting on it.

Indeed, on the subject of Mr. Hart appearing, it may be of interest to note that he still does have the side effects from the stroke, he's not in any physical condition to engage in any physical stuff in the match. I believe it will merely be a distraction to Vince to allow HBK to win the match.
As for your idea Larson...something, do you really think Bret would stoop to that level? I don't know him, nobody here knows him, but I don't believe that he'd go down the the level of humiliating the company, and lowering his own public standing just for revenge for something that happened all the way back in 1997.
Can you imagine the atmosphere at WM if (and when) Bret Hart does appear? This'll be the biggest thing since...Austin first winning the title. If I were oredering the PPV I'd be urinating myself in excitement.

WWE Championship; Triple H v John Cena (c) - Triple H
World Heavyweight Championship; Randy Orton v Rey Mysterio v Kurt Angle (c) - Rey Mysterio
Street Fight; Mr. McMahon v HBK - HBK (I too hope there's Hitman interference)
Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Lashley
Casket Match; Undertaker v Mark Henry - Undertaker
Hardcore Match; Mick Foley v Edge - Mick Foley (I'm really hoping, anyway)
US Championship; JBL v Chris Benoit (c) - Chris Benoit
Tag Team Championship; Carlito & Chris Masters v Big Show & Kane - Carlito & Masters
Women's Championship; Mickie James v Trish Stratus (c) - Mickie James
Boogeyman v Booker T - Booker T
Playboy Pillow Fight;Torrie Wilson v Candice Michelle - The fans...OK, Candice Michelle
But I suppose we'll find out this week on TV. As we know, the person who gets the last word on TV leading up to a PPV tends to be the person who jobs at the PPV. Also still hoping for a JR appearance in some capacity.

You my friend, are a douchebag.
I don't claim to know everything about wrestling, but I do claim to believe that Bret Hart is an intelligent, decent, friendly individual and a darn good wrestler.
a) A Bret Hart DVD would never have turned out like Warriors. For starters, fans adore Hart, they respect him for what he achieved and how he handled himself, and they'd completely shit all over the WWE if they even considered a DVD like Warriors
b) I, and a lot of other people doubt that Vince would actually create a DVD like that about Bret Hart. He may have wanted to do a screwjob DVD, and that wouldn't nessecarily be a bad thing (I believe [from unreputable online internet news sites] that this project was what Bret objected to), but to do a complete DVD about mocking Bret Hart? It ain't gonna happen.
c) Judging by what was written in wrestlers autobiographies, what was said on TV and what was said in interviews after the event, it wasn't so much the fact that Vince took the title off him (on good grounds), it was the fact that HBK obliged to do it to a fellow wrestler that pissed him off. From what has been revealed over the years, Bret Hart understand that from a business and security point of view, what Vince did was right for the company. For HBK to go out there with Bret believing he was going to be honest and do a proper match, and then turn on him and screw him over is almost unforgivable.
Surely you can forgive Hart for not wanting to even be near HBK these days.

Just caught RAW here in Australia. Some comments:
After that first segment with Foley and Edge, it looks as though Edge is going to go over at Wrestlemania; Foley's had the last word every time and this is the last RAW before the event. That's a shame. I know he's the active wrestler, he's got an undefeated streak going and everything...but every time they bring Foley back, it's just to job. And that's a shame.
Entertaining segment following the Kane/Carlito match. But again, pretty obvious Carlito & Masters are likely to go over at WM.
Very good idea to split up HHH and Cena rather than make the ending really obvious and having one get the final word. Also works for the HBK/Vince storyline though I think HBK getting beaten again confirms a WM win. I'd be disappointed if they have Vince go over at WM.
MITB promo segment was solid as well. As if there was any doubt, Ric Flair gets to go over in the segment which should definitely confirm he won't be walking out with the MITB title shot. RVD and Shelton Benjamin...hard to pick between those two, but I don't think they're winning it. The Cena/HHH feud is probably going to last a few months and while MITB lasts 12 months (and they did wait 8 months with Edge) I think it's more likely they'll have a Smackdown guy get into the title picture...most likely Lashley. But this was a nice build from the RAW perspective.
Spirit Squad vs Val Venis, Viscera and Eugene...decent enough match, but the Spirit Squad gimmick hasn't grown on me and probably won't. The wrestlers themselves are good performers in the ring but it's just one of those gimmicks they have to suffer through before moving up (think "Deacon Batista" during the early months of the brand split). This one could be hard to overcome though.
The promo with Mickie James suitably advanced her character's heel turn and development as a full-on psycho. The women's tag match was par for the course these days. Decent performance from the two that aren't really wrestlers and the usual appeal of hot women and revealing outfits. Again, no outcome was blatantly hinted because Mickie James wasn't involved but Trish got the pinfall victory so there's a good chance she'll drop the belt at WM.
And finally, part two of the final RAW main events build, with all four men involved again. I have to retract what I wrote earlier (I compiled this during the commercial breaks), I think they've gone the usual route after all. I know what the Backlash promos are saying, but HHH just had the final word against Cena and that usually means he won't be going over at the PPV. Likewise, they were able to tidily allow McMahon to get the last say with HBK. Looks like they're both going over now.
As for the McMahon/Cena match, it was about what you'd expect; Vinnie Mac feeding his ego by looking half decent against one of the major champions. Nevertheless good show, good final lead-up to Wrestlemania from the RAW perspective.

WWE Championship
Triple H to win this one. It may well be a very good match too - I can see Hunter selling John Cena well before cleaning out the trash and ending with a Pedigree.
World Heavyweight Championship
Kurt Angle to retain. My heart tells me Rey to win, but I really don't believe he's been given enough time as a main-eventer to warrant a run with the title. I wouldn't be that surprised if Rey finishes up on RAW and then enjoying a feud with Triple H - I get the impression they planted the seeds for this at Royal Rumble. Angle will then leave WrestleMania with a ready-made feud with Randy Orton.
No Holds Barred Match
Shawn Michaels to win. Vince can sell like no-one else when pushed.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Ric Flair vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. Finlay vs. Bobby Lashley - Seems to me they're giving Rob a major push at the moment, and having him win this would achieve that goal better than anything else I can think of. Lashley will also come out of this with a better reputation than he had going in.
Casket Match
Undertaker to squash Henry.
Hardcore Match
Mick Foley should edge this one. Like my feeble efforts at a joke...?
United States Championship
JBL to win. Can you imagine how hilarious he would be as an over-patriotic champion? I can, and I bet so too can the WWE.
World Tag Team Championship
Chris Masters & Carlito to win in a match I could hardly care about.
Women's Championip
Trish Stratus to beat her No 1 fan.
Boogeyman vs. Booker T & Sharmell
Booker T to win in another 'I couldn't care less' match.
Pillow Fight
Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle - Who cares? This one'll simply be fun to watch!!!

To be honest, I am less optimistic about Bret doing a run-in then I was a few weeks back. If it doesn't happen, it is because Bret didn't want to. There is no way Vince didn't at least approach him with the idea.

Final predictions now that we've seen the final RAW and Smackdown before Wrestlemania:
OK, final predictions time:
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Triple H - John Cena
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio - Rey Mysterio
Mr. McMahon vs. Shawn Michaels (No Holds Barred Match) - Shawn Michaels
Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Bobby Lashley
Undertaker vs. Mark Henry (Casket Match) - Undertaker
Edge vs. Mick Foley (Hardcore Match) - Edge
United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. JBL - Chris Benoit
World Tag Team Champions Kane & Big Show vs. Chris Masters & Carlito - Chris Masters & Carlito
Women's Champion Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James - Mickie James
Boogeyman vs. Booker T & Sharmell - Booker T
Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle (Playboy Pillow Fight) - Candice Michelle
Only change is Cena/HHH. I'll probably end up screwing myself on that one but so be it; I'll pick Cena to win and turn heel, leaving the World Heavyweight title match as the final bout so Mysterio can win and end the show with the "moment".

Triple H will beat Cena if either Angle or Rey win the SD belt.
Cena will beat Triple H if Orton wins.
Two main events. One'll have a babyface win to send the fans home happy, the other won't. I'll bet my ass on it.

That's not that shocking. He just fell face first into them the other night on RAW.
Going through the Hell in the Cell with a chair smashing your tooth up into your nose and then being thrown off of it onto the announcers table is shocking.

My thoughts
Edge - Foley was sooooo kick ass. Edge gained so much of my respect for spearing Foley into that firey table. His eyebrows looked like they were singed.
I'm glad RVD won the money in the bank the plan right now is for him to defeat the champion at ECW One Night Stand.
Michaels - McMahon was a complete ass kicking. Michaels jumping off the 20 foot lader will be a memorable Wrestlemania moment especially because he did the "suck it" more on that later.
Rey was getting lots of boo's which was suprising. But I was glad to see him win the belt. He has worked his ass off during his whole career to finally reach that level.
HHH - Cena was a let down until ... he did the suck it. After that the match picked up alot. Me + friends were PISSED that Cena won. Why have Triple H have a face comeback like he did only to tap out seconds later.
I have always been a fan of DX, especially the original with Michaels, HHH and "sigh" Chyna. After Michaels did the suck it before jumping my friend Christian jokingly said hey DX might be reforming. And I threw out the idea of him helping HHH in the main event. So we were watching to see if it went down and when HHH did the suck it I swear all 6 of us marked out and started jumping up and down because it was odd how they would both do it on the same night. In the WWE Post Game, aired on WWE.com Michaels said he likes what has happened to him and he may have to embrace his new personality more. Im throwing this out there, HHH and HBK will reform DX to help Hunter defeat Cena sometime down the road. I would write more on my thoughts of the night but im kind of tired. Some matches were horrible like the Playboy challege,Boogey Man vs. Booker but all in all a solid pay per view.

The HHH face comeback was not a planned thing. That crowd was so anti Cena that they put HHH over so hard. Think about that match in the way the writers probably did, with the crowd being totally pro Cena and against HHH. It would have went over awesome. But, obviously, that was not the case.
The writers are in a really strange situation with Cena. Personally, I've never seen anything like it.

Wrestlemania Event & Predictions Review
World Tag Team Champions Kane & Big Show vs. Chris Masters & Carlito - Chris Masters & Carlito - Incorrect
Looks like a split might be happening sooner than we thought, since this isn't the first miscommunication between Masters and Carlito. I guess it will be Carlito who would turn face if and when they feud, but they'll need to start getting him some positive reactions first. He's still solidly a heel in my book.
Pretty good match to start things out with, definitely a surprising finish. I guess they're not done with the dominance of Big Show and Kane. Speaking of Big Show, that's his first Wrestlemania victory.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Bobby Lashley - Incorrect
So much for my predictions so far! This one might have stolen the show. When a match is set up a spot fest it has to deliver some memorable highlights and this one definitely did. Shelton's run up the ladder for the suicidal senton-like dive, the Vandaminator of the top rope onto the ladder...that was crazy. The Ric Flair spot had me fooled at first, for a moment I thought it was a shoot and he was legitimately injured but when he seemed to be making his way to the back too easily I figured he'd be back out and for a moment, thought he might even sneak back in and win it all (which wouldn't have been the best idea).
I would've given the shot to Lashley but RVD is deserving as well, it'll be interesting to see how long they wait to have him cash in on it. Looks like he's in for a push sometime in the next twelve months.
United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. JBL - Chris Benoit - Incorrect
Wow, did I get my predictions wrong or what? I'm a little disappointed because I'm not a JBL fan and though the US title is a level he's not too bad at...well, I still don't like him with a belt. If this means Benoit is back in the main event picture though, I can certainly live with this result. Having JBL win while mocking Eddie Guerrero was classless. They need to stop drawing heat with that.
Edge vs. Mick Foley (Hardcore Match) - Edge - Correct
Finally got one right! This one really delivered as far as hardcore matches go, nice to see Joey Styles getting a chance to call a match at Wrestlemania even though I'm glad JR called most of it. Edge landing on the tacks was gruesome, as was everything that involved barbed wire and the finish was suitably spectacular...though I'm still a bit disappointed Mick Foley is forced to job whenever he comes back. But it makes sense in the grand scheme of things to have Edge go over.
Undertaker vs. Mark Henry (Casket Match) - Undertaker - Correct
Not as bad as I thought, didn't go longer than it had to and Undertaker goes 14-0, which was the right thing to do all bias aside. If he's going to put anyone over at Wrestlemania, Mark Henry is just about the last person it should be. Usual Casket Match spots, Henry putting the Undertaker down and going for the pin (reminiscent of pretty much every casket match to date), both men fighting in the casket...and then an impressive effort by Taker to nail the tombstone on Henry. Now let this feud be done with.
Boogeyman vs. Booker T & Sharmell - Booker T - Incorrect
Best part of this match? The introduction with Booker T and Sharmell walking past all the other freak/odd characters. Ted Dibiase was a weird choice to have there if he was meant to be a freak but nevertheless it was fun to see him there doing his old spiel about everyone having a price and trying to swindle other wrestlers. Paul Birchall's pirate gimmick...well, you can't help but be entertained by a man who's swordfighting alone and cheerfully greets his fellow wrestlers as they pass by. Nice segment.
Match was OK I guess, I thought Booker should've gone over which is why I picked him in the first place. Oh well.
Women's Champion Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James - Mickie James - Correct
Pretty good match as I expected, though I didn't expect Mickie to grab Trish like that. I'm certain Vince McMahon himself called for that to happen. Mickie winning extends what could continue to be a really good feud, just what the division needs. Trish getting booed was very unexpected though. Seeing as though it's a predominantly male audience and Mickie is pleasing to the eye I'm not surprised she'd draw cheers despite being the heel but Trish getting booed...very odd.
Mr. McMahon vs. Shawn Michaels (No Holds Barred Match) - Shawn Michaels - Correct
I have to admit, part of me was expecting Bret Hart to show up during this match. Even without him it was better than I expected. Great finish with the huge ladder and the elbow drop, then the "Watch me kick your teeth down your throat!" followed by Sweet Chin Music to cap it off. Now, let's put this feud behind us as well. It doesn't need to continue.
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio - Rey Mysterio - Correct
Very good match, though considering Cena's reception it might've been better if this was the last one. Still, then HHH couldn't be in the final main event. Anyway, smart booking to protect Angle by having Mysterio pin Orton as well as having Rey gain retribution for No Way Out and setting up a longer feud with Orton in 2006.
Rey winning the title was the MOMENT of this Wrestlemania. He beat the odds in the context of the storylines and in the backstage politics of wrestling too. His reign will likely be short but I think it will be memorable. A great reward for all his hard work and determination in the wrestling industry and it came in a very entertaining match (that double german suplex was amazing). Well done to all three men and kudos to the creative team for the booking.
Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle (Playboy Pillow Fight) - Candice Michelle - Incorrect
Should've been on earlier in the night. The crowd was hot after the World Heavyweight match, they broke out into a chant of "Boring" during this one. I suppose they wanted to capitalise on what they anticipated would be a hot crowd but it didn't work. Not very well done. T&A couldn't save this one. Torrie wins, I lose out on the prediction, who cares. Trish Stratus and Mickie James did it so much better without a gimmick, in all aspects.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Triple H - John Cena - Correct
Guess they did telegraph the ending on last week's RAW. But they really need to turn Cena heel. I know they're at least acknowledging the mixed reaction but again they need to ride the crowd reaction because the more they try to defy it and push Cena as a face, the bigger the negative response.
HHH's entrance was a parody of professional wrestling. It was just too cheesy. Then you have Cena coming out in a case of "gangster meets gang$tah". Pop then heat. Odd. Could've done without both cheesy gimmicks.
The match...decent way of making Cena look better with some high impact stuff, good near-falls and having him win with the STFU was unexpected. But the crowd reaction obviously didn't match what the WWE has in mind. The feud will of course continue.
Overall...worth the money, great show. MITB and the Hardcore match were entertaining, good spots elsewhere and great moment with Rey defying the odds. Not the greatest Wrestlemania but a very good show.
Predictions: 6/11 Correct

Yeah a new term should be coined "Cena Heat". When the smart fans boo and the marks cheer for him. They should just turn Cena heel, he was better that way anyway. His "freestyles" were pretty funny. Heh, and Gravy I did kind of call Edge landing on thumb tacts, I think there was shock value with Edge jumping into a flaming table without a shirt on. I liked the prefight Booker scene when hes walking down the hall, Snitsky liking Mae Young's toes was gross funny. I was dissapointed they didnt acknowledge Booker and Goldusts history though.

Anyone else get really annoyed by that "Miz" crap? It's keeping me well away from SD.

I thought Hunter's birthday was in December (said so in my 2005 'Simpsons' calendar!)
To: Dr. Zaius
I just checked Hunter's bio on Wikipedia: you're right, the calendar's wrong: it's 7/27!

Poor Sunny. Bah, she was never one of my favourites anyway. I do feel sorry for her, what with her husband and her insanity and all.

HBK did another crotch chop, im starting to mark out. Im predicting he comes out to help HHH in the main event and they crotch chop together teasing a DX reunion. Also if they want to turn HHH heel again and get the crowd against him they could always have him turn on HBK, which would get lots of heat.

There have been no new progress in the TNA-Bill Goldberg discussions, however, TNA has come up with several storylines to take place for Goldberg if he does sign with the company. TNA has a number of singles and tag options for him.
The company was looking to strike a deal with Goldberg prior to the taping of their Thursday night debut. The assumption was that Goldberg would of partner with Sting for the Lockdown PPV.

New McMahon DVD scheduled for August release
Just who is Vincent Kennedy McMahon? To some he is the sports-entertainment innovator and visionary corporate leader of a multimillion dollar company. To others he is evil personified - the manipulative sadistic boss of a corral of WWE Superstars who takes great personal pleasure in making others suffer. Mr. McMahon has achieved stunning successes and experienced humiliating defeats and yet keeps coming back for more. What other boss requires his employees to literally kiss his bare ass on national television? This 2 disc production takes a look back at what caused Vince McMahon to come out of the announcer booth and right into some of the most controversial moments ever seen on television. For the first time ever the onscreen and off-screen intrigues of the world’s most notorious boss are broken down by the people who know the man best. Exclusive interviews with Shane, Stephanie and Linda McMahon, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman and more. Mr. McMahon himself reveals when the seed was planted to screw Bret Hart in Montreal, what it was like to win the WWE Championship, the true story behind the battle against WCW, the XFL, his daughter Stephanie marrying and more. Plus you’ll see the Austin/McMahon rivalry, the infamous Kiss My Ass Club, and his classic matches versus Stone Cold, Shane McMahon, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Who is the real Vince McMahon? You decide!
"McMahon" DVD everywhere on Aug. 22, 2006.
..this makes me wonder if his fued with the ultimate bonehead will be covered..or his infamous one with panda's.

Me and a friend were talking about the stupid god angle going on, and how it's kind of weird how HBK is on the side of god and hes doing crotch chops and then it hit us. Triple H calls himself the king of kings... What if the higher power HBK speaks of is Hunter. Would be quite a twist. But WWE is to stupid to think of that.

Screw the DVD. Now that he's got WWE Films up and running, Vince should just go ahead and make his own "Private Parts"-style movie about his rise to...whatever it is he's risen to. It would make his "true stories" that much more hilarious.
