Had to edit the thread title because it made absolutely no sense, whatsoever. Not the first time I've had to, either...
Anyway, yeah, this was a decent episode. Not as good as the past few episodes have been. Few great jokes made it, most notably:
* Francine's bad hair and everyone shunning her for it
* Stan getting along with Steve's English teacher, then quickly taking everyone hostage (caught me off guard and I laughed)
* Stan singing "Silly Love Songs" afterward, like nothing happened
* Stan singing the second lyric to "Silly Love Songs" while holding a gun to Steve's head, then correcting himself
* The entire film noir bit (loved that shot of Steve's actor in the Jello pool)
But the plot itself was so-so. Disappointed.

This was a weaker episode than the last 3 have been. But then again, Steve is becoming the new Meg of American Dad. The stories involving him turn out not to be as funny as the rest of the crew.
3/5 (and that's being gracious)

Eh, I didn't really like this one much at all. I started falling asleep through it, though it was hard to follow up to the hilarious Family Guy episode. It started out promising but the whole thing was just dull and not very well thought out. Why was Steve living on his own in a mansion and famous from writing one kids book? Why did he suddenly lash out on his parents? I had trouble following it. I also hate how inconsistent Stan's characterization is. One week he'll be fine, and the next he'll be the un-human-with-no-feelings asshole that we hated in the first few episodes which was the case with this one.
This was the first episode I really didn't enjoy in a while for AD, but I still say that they need to be a little more consistant with some things, such as Stan's characterization.

Coulda been better. I really liked the way Roger's panic run was animated when he thought Steve was killed. Few other goodies, but not much.

I think I enjoyed this episode the most out of the 3 (AD, FG, and Simpsons).
It may of been dark, but I found Stan with the family and the gun Hilarious. The plot maintained to be interesting, and the jokes and pacing worked perfectly.

I thought it was funny. My dad agreed. For some reason, I loved Stan taking the english teacher's family hostage.

4/5. It's been great since Rodger Codger and they now have good standards to live up to. Oh my god I killed Steve!

This has got to be the best AD so far, I don't think I've laughed that much at this show before. I loved the horror movie ringtone, had to rewind just to hear it again.
4/5.

me too. anyway, another pleasing episode with a few really great gags but otherwise just a fairly average but solid run till the end.
