The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (with Bing Crosby)- Awful, Disney should of thought better than to make a really dark tale like "The Headless Horsemen" and try to turn it into more of a cheery cartoon such as that, well at least it makes a fair excuse for Bing to make some crooners and on the DVD, I laughed when I slowed down the the "saucer eyes" bit.- D

Heh. Isn't that the episode that made all those kids have seizures? Just wondering. I haven't seen Pokémon in at least four years.

Yeah, it was. But I watched it on my computer, which has a slower frame rate than the average TV, so the flashing wasn't anywhere near as intense as it normally was.

Wavy Gravy
05-06-2005, 07:22 AM
I never understood why it never aired in NA. All they had to do was edit out the seizure scene.

It's not that easy. There's a lot of flashing in the episode - and often times, it's the whole background, which would be almost impossible to edit without damaging the action in the foreground. 4Kids Entertainment can only do so much with digital paint. The seven-second explosion that's often blamed for the seizures could easily be cut and replaced with footage of an explosion from another episode, but the rest aren't as expendable. It's not like "Holiday at Acopulco"/"Beauty and the Beach", where they could just snip out something as trivial as James in a bikini.

Watched it when I was feeling nostalgic. I loved this when I was a kid, but not so much anymore. The plot is kind of like a slightly-more-epic episode, and Team Rocket was wasted. You should watch the Japanese version sometime - it's a completely different and much better movie. For instance, nowhere in the American dub does Mewtwo question the existence of God and why he was created. In the original version, he's a confused being with too much power; 4Kids just made him an evil monster who wanted to destroy the world.

Kim Possible So the Drama-A++ It's just such a wonderful movie for a TV movie. The animation was different from the animated series it was much better, and Ron actually stepped up in the movie, pretty cool on his part. Poor Kim though finding out Erik was crud and worked for Draken bummer, but that was such a brilliant plan on Draken's part. The Shego and Kim fights were awesome too, I was surprised Disney actually showed a little bit of blood in the movie, the shocked me so much. The romance was interesting. I was hoping for a final battle between Monkey Fist and Ron but I did not get it oh well, that's alright it was still good. The kiss in the end was great, Ron and Kim getting together was the best part if you’re a R/k shipper aheam. Well over all I have to say it was a brilliant movie, I loved it. One of the best animated TV movies for a series. I give it an A++

Anyways, if you count Son Of The Mask a cartoon (I do) then that's the last one I watched. I really liked it...probably because I don't consider it a sequel to The Mask at all. I watched it as it's own stand-alone movie.

King of the Hill. The episode in which Dale acts like a cocky bastard because he has a new Lawnmower. So he says some shit like "Can you mow your lawn in a hurricane, Hank? No didn't think so! ha-ha-ha-ha!" So they steal it and pretend someone else did it so that Dale can shut up. Then Bill (because he's a loveable moron), says Dale has a Flamethrower and is keeping Rusty Shackleford as a hostage. Police come and try to shoot him, so Hank Hill tells the truth and Dale acts like a retard again and says Hank must not be his friend for stealing his (overpriced) Lawnmower and then Hank reminds him that he sounds like a moron, so Dale realize he is infact being an idiot and was being an idiot for the whole episode. So they saty friends and he shuts up about the Damn Lawnmower for the rest of the series and just talks and brags about equally stupid, less impressive subjects. He also continues to pronounce words incorrectly and says "wingo" and "Sha-shaa!" a lot.

Oh, that Grade thingy: It's fucking awesome and Dale Gribble is the best character in the world. A+

*laughs* Um, you're pretty close. You are joking, I'll give you that.

If you never seen it before, watching at it in your eyes you won't like it in an entire millenium.

But to me, it's not a fad. It's one of the greatest guilty-pleasure anime of all time.

A notch removed because it's one of the Season 1 episodes that was outsourced to the Kennedy Animation Studio, who really can't animate (save for StarToons founder Jon McClenahan). In fact, I believe there's a few scenes in this episode that Kennedy was too lazy to animate, so they sent them to some other studio - it looked like Spumco to me.

"Rocko's Modern Life" - "The Good, The Bad, and the Wallaby"/"Trash-O-Madness": 5/5

Of course, "The Good, The Bad, and the Wallaby" was edited to remove the scenes with Heffer and the Milk-O-Matic, but it's still funny. And I've come to the conclusion that "Trash-O-Madness" was either the original pilot for "Rocko's Modern Life" or Joe Murray's student film in college, because half of it looks drastically different and lower-budget than the rest of the series (there are distinct breaks in the animation, and I can only assume that new scenes were added to make it long enough for the episode). Still, it's a lot of fun to look at - Rocko's reaction to seeing Spunky get eaten by the trash truck is still the best wild take in the show's history.
