I watched five minutes of an episode of the O.C. at the request of my ex lady friend (I really should of dismantled her when she said "hey, watch to O.C.") and the scene was with the rich 'nerd' that all the ladies seem to be infatuated with- He was in the local lobster eatery with the controvertible blonde guy and they were talking about how life was hard in Orange County with their zillions of dollars and their Daddies liquor cabinets.

I saw the commercial for The Cooks one week for it's prime time debut which was at 8.30 Monday one week (or Total TV night as my salsa calls it) and the next week i saw it was pushed back to a 10.30 slot on a Thursday night.

Anyway, I haven't been around much lately because of problems with my computer. It starts up fine but after a few minutes something eats up all the RAM and I end up with a computer that runs so slow that I can't even shut it down. Luckily I have found a program that periodically frees up the RAM, unfortunately it only has a 15 day free trial. Hopefully I can find out whats causing the problem, since it doesn't seem to be spyware or a virus.

I taped it all on two tapes - one from 7:30 to 1:30 (thats six hours - right?), and one on another VCR from 12:15 to 6:15. I'm pretty sure that covered it all, right? It also gives me a double up of the episodes (or parts of them) between 12:15 and 1:30.

damn it was hot here today... and I had to push trollies at work in it all day, utter shit, I'm all fucking sunburnt.

I also had my hardrive 'crash' (or more correctly have bad clusters) so I had to get a new drive, reinstall windows and find out that over 3 years of flash/Photoshop/site work and basically everything I wanted to put into my portfolio was lost. They say that every grey cloud has a silver lining, well the grey cloud surrounding my family continues to gain size, with no silver in sight.
Sometime this morning some arseholes came on to our property while we were all asleep and smashed windows on two of our cars for no apparent reason, and only one of them was insured. Luckily my car, also uninsured, was left alone. Once again the police don't give a shit about it.

The general concensus around the neighbourhood is to stick to yourself and not see or hear anything. We think it happened around 4am so the likelyhood that anybody saw anything is minimal anyway. Even our friends next door didn't see of hear anything. The glass has been fixed and we're filing a police report but other than that there's not much we can do.
What annoys me is that even though we've been in the house for a month, the owners still haven't put a gate on the front fence.

They've happened about 3 times, but there have been like, 50+ whales/dolphins each time. (Possible exaggeration there, but at least 25+, definately)

There have been 3 recent reports of beachings, Dolphins and Pilot Whales on Cook Island with possibly 100 or more animals, an unknown amount of Dolphins/Whales on Maria Island and a Sperm Whale on NZ's north island.
There are all kinds of explainations, some of them where sick, sonar technology interfering with there natural sonar, fleeing from predators or even the geography of the area screwing up their sonar.
I reckon it might have something to do with water pollution. Perhaps some phenomena is causing pollution in the water to concentrate in certain areas forcing animals to beach themselves to escape it.
Either way I think it will remain a mystery for a very long time.

I was away in Fiji. Hot and humid every day you couldnt really walk around without it being hot and yucky, and I was a little diappointed with the beaches as they were all coral and I was expecting soft grainy sand. The americans knew what was what they had coral shoes, wish I knew that. Either you get warm water with coral and shit that cuts your feet up or you get nice sand with cold water. Cant have both! Oh well that was one of my only complaints. TV was shit but other than that it was a great time! The tv in the lounge was shit. The tv in my room with the kingsize bed was good but programming cut out due to satellite and news updates. We got 4 of the 7 pay per view movies by accident over and over without having to pay it was their fault so we saw Arthur, Garfield, Stepford Wives, Spiderman 2 and Man on Fire without having to be charged. So cool!

It was 38 degrees today. Firstly, I had to play tennis in the morning, when it was already 36 degrees at 10am. Apparently, the radio station that broadcasts the cancellations made a mistake, leaving everyone to believe it was another district that was cancelled... load of shit.

It is now 7:28, and I am bored. Somebody tell me something that will entertain me.

I was cooking a BBQ tonight for tea and I was about half way done when my nephew somehow managed to split his head open. So my mum rushed him off to see a doctor while the rest of us waited for them, it was about 3 hours before they got back so we had a very late tea. He got 3 stitches in his head but he's jumping around like nothing happened, well he was until he banged his head on the door.
And it's still 30 degrees inside, stupid house and it's lack of air con.
