So much laughter packed into 20 minutes I thought. So many jokes from this made me cry laughing. Realized it Thursday night while watching it. Your thoughts?

One of, if not the best from season 3. Hilarious and heartwarming. A+

2nd best of Season 3 IMO behind Flaming Moe's. One of the best flashback episodes - A+
My 3 favorite flashback episodes are And Maggie Makes Three, Lisa's First Word, and I Married Marge. I like them equally.
I Married Marge: Very good flashback episode, as stated before. Homer and Marge not being able to afford a real wedding made it hilarious. "Here's $10 worth of chips and you may kiss the bride." But also a very touching episode. 10/10, one of the best from S3.

Not as good as The way We Was, but still an A.
My second favourite flashback episode after Lisa's Sax, but still a full A+ as it's one of my favourite episodes too.

A gem of an episode, another flashback that's delightfully written. Funny and touching, basically like most episodes from the early era. The references to the 1980s are well-defined, and the episode in general is a good follow-up to The Way We Was.
The best joke in the episode, and possibly the best in the season:
Homer: I swear to you, when you come out of there, the first thing you're gonna see is a man with a good job!
Patty: Yeah, the doctor.

It's funny, it's emotional, it's perfect. A great "sequel" to "The Way We Was." My favorite jokes include the entire wedding sequence, Homer's taste in the media ("I Shot JR", "Disco Sucks"), and Homer trying to deliver the baby himself ("college boy, eh?")
A classic. 10/10.

 Yeah, I know it's not as good as expected :(. But episodes + commentaries + jukebox = good enough for me ;)
This was the first episode I saw, when I was a kid, and I have loved it since the first time I watched it. 10/10.

This episode was great, interesting sidenote is that it is many hard core Star Wars fans all time favorite episode, due to the fact that Bart was conceived the night Homer and Marge saw "Empire Strikes Back", as for the episode, both funny and touching, 9/10

It's actually one of my least favorite flashback episodes, but that doesn't mean it's anywhere near bad. I just think it crams too much into one show for me to really care about any particular storyline. It goes from establishing Homer's and Marge's boyfriend/girlfriend situation and Homer's current job, then on to the sex in the castle. From there it also shows how they got married, and then how Homer got a job, and finally how Bart was born. It just seems like a bit much. I just don't find it at the emotional level of the others. However, I will say that I really felt for Homer throughout this episode. I love how he takes a stand against Patty and Selma, and there are still tons of hilarious moments. So for me, it's an A, or a 4/5.
Wow, when I saw this again after not seeing it for about...oh, five years, I was amazed. This episode is awesome! There are great jokes everywhere, and sweet Marge/Homer moments. The ending always makes me smile, too. :silly: 5/5.

Hmm, I wish you'd of included a visual; because I can't remember this episode (it might be a very forgettable one).
If there's one flashback in Season 2, and one in Season 3, then I didn't care for the one in Season 3. Is this the one in season 3?

gave it 5/5 it's so sweet! and funny, it has one of my favourite simpsons moments ever when they leave the cinema after empire strikes back and Homer says: "Wow, what a movie! who would've though Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker's father?!"
and I love when Homer and Marge high five at the end because she's not pregnant, right after Homer says something about how his kids are a blessing
overall a great episode

Just rewatched it. Still as brilliant and magical as ever. This is possibly my favorite Homer/Marge episode; I think their dynamic in this one was very genuine and touching and both of them were realistically and endearing characterized. Every character was in top-form, the plot was solid, perfectly-paced, and satisfying all-around, the emotion was prominent but not at all manipulative, and the humor was great and included only one joke I can remember that I didn't like (Homer wanting to deliver the baby and Marge telling him not to, the way it was done seemed pretty forced). Easily the best flashback episode. A+
Terrific episode although it's the flashback that I don't watch as often as 'The Way We Was' and 'Lisa's First Word'. Really well told with nice romantic, heartfelt moments and funny lines.
A+

Ah, another one of those genius episodes that tugs the heartstrings while paralyzing you with laughter. This definitely ranks along side episodes like "Marge vs The Monorail" and "Who shot Mr. Burns? Part I" in terms of the extremely high joke-to-minute ratio. And it made me cry too, so a huge bonus for that! 5/5

Very jammed pack in plot, emotion and jokes, and therefore it sometimes works - the Hospital birth scene is particularly amusing.
The only gripe I have is of Marge's mother being like Patty and Selma, and just being a generic anti-Homer character. 4/5

This episode is brilliant and it's my favorite episode that goes into Homer and Marge's past (my second favorite is The Way We Weren't). There are just so many memorable things in this episode (Homer working at the miniature golf fun center, Homer working at the Gulp N' Blow to try and send as much money as he can to Marge). And I just love the way Homer decides to go marching into Mr. Burns' office to demand a job from him. The overall atmosphere in this episode is mind boggling! 5/5
Here's one of my favorite quotes from this episode:
Marge: Homer, do you ever think about the future?
Homer: You mean, like, will apes be our masters?
Marge: No. I mean how you plan to earn a living.

One of the favorite episodes for sure! It is excellent backstory that explains the conception of Bart, how Homer and Marge got married and how Homer got his job at the Springfield Nucular Power Plant. The only thing that bothers in this episode in shows that Homer/Marge share their first time in the castle at the golf course but in later years they say it was the wind mill. I guess they forgot after all that.
