Synopsis:
Santa's Little Helper is restless, but when he meets a female greyhound, "She's The Fastest", he falls in love. Before long, the Simpsons have twenty-five puppies to contend with - until Mr Burns sees a good opportunity to increase his winter wardrobe.
My review:
VERY underrated episode! (Just look at the SNPP reviews!)
The story was a great idea to begin with, and was executed very well. It was so funny from start to end, every character had great moments- who could forget Homer's many D'ohs when trying to eat the chips, or See My Vest? Characterisation was great, notably Burns. There was a lot of great satire in this ep too, especially the parts with SLH and STF. Just a few minor flaws, like Burns getting down to the basement so quickly, and the slightly subpar ending. Still worthy of an A from me though! :)

By far one of the funniest, most memorable, and most quotable Simpsons episodes ever. 7/10

Yes, it was an excellent episode. Doesn't stand out as one of the best of S6, but very enjoyable to watch. Stunning musical number as well. A-

A very good episode, if not as strong as the majority of season six. Good gags, such as Homer's chips being eaten by the puppies ad infinitum, good references, good freeze-frame jokes (the names of the puppies) and good parodies such as Lady and the Tramp, but notably the extremely funny and clever Be Our Guest parody, that is, Mr Burns' song See My Vest. Hilarious from start to finish.

A great parody of 101 Dalmations. The "See My Vest" number is one of the best.

Typical dog troubles plot with a slightly new spin. Hardly lacking in humor but somewhat lacking in substantial characterisation. The main focus here was on the adorable puppies rather than the Simpson family members. It was all fairly predictable, but in typical season six style, the intelligent dialogue, gags and parodies kept it afloat.

In my personal Top 20.
Underrated episode. See My Vest, I think, is the best song ever on the Simpsons. Doesn't hurt that the episode is funny too. 4/5

the song from Mr. Burns was great and in a way the only highlight for me.
I just don't like episodes with SLH or his puppies as main characters.
But can understand that other people like this episode. Nice homage to 101 dalmatians.

Theres not much wrong with this really, a classic Season 6 episode.

I quite like it. I don't it's close to being up with the great season 6 episodes though. I'm an awful time trying to rate this one as I think it's better than a lot of episodes I've rated 3/5, but I'm also hesitant to give it a 4. I will go with a 3 and hope my opinion can only go up.

I especially liked the ending where burns is presented with a cheque after it is announced all of the 25 puppies has won at the dogtrack, and whoever gave him thoses puppies must want to kill themselves, then we see homer's silhouette hanging from a line, but it appears he's just batting the lightbulb, marge bursts in, worrid and homer says "you know the only thing that makes me happy since we lost those puppies is batting this lightbulb.

Well, sir, I pretty much raped my VHS tape recorded of it because I used to love this episode and Homie the Clown so damn much. Now, I can't say that anymore. I've seen them so many times that they're kind of boring. Though I can always get a cheap laugh at the batting the lightbulb bit. 3.5/5.

Great episode, I loved the "See My Vest" musical number, and pretty much everything afterward like the exchange between Mr. Burns and Lisa when he told her here's a phone and to call somebody who cares so she dials 911 and he quickly snatches the phone from her. 4/5

It would be a weak episode of the classic era without the song "See my vest". 3.5/5

Not often I agree with you Blobulle my friend but you are absolutely correct, this is a weak classic. Therefore 4/5, 8/10 B+
