This thread is here to answer your questions about this section and how you should post your work, plus how to criticize others.
Rules
1. Do not insult other people's work just because it looks bad, or you just want to insult them. Give them some positive feedback and constructive criticism.
2. Don't make threads with intentionally bad artwork and scripts, it will be closed.
3. If you have alot of episode ideas to share, put it into one thread, not make a seperate thread for each idea. The same goes for having alot of pictures to share.
4. Do not post your artwork in other people's threads.
5. Do not post pornographic pictures of the Simpsons. That's just gross. Seriously, that's... :(
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Alot of people have signatures. How do I get one?
Do NOT make your own thread asking for one. There is another stickied thread in this forum where you can request signatures. Not all of your requests have to be signatures only, you can request avatars or banners. They don't have to be simpsons related, either. The thread is here (http://nohomers.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22842).
2. My thread isn't getting many replies. What do I do?
Don't expect too much. This section does not get as much traffic as other forums like Media Discussion or Off Topic.
3. I have a cool script/episode idea I want to send to fox. How can I?
Unfortunately, you can not send your scripts in. It might get the creators of The Simpsons and FOX into legal mumbo jumbo, so the workers at the show have asked us not to send them in.
4. What's Maggie and Eric? Who's Jake? Are they characters I haven't seen?
Jake Lennington makes a popular fan site called Maggie & Eric (http://www.maggieanderic.com) and posts here frequently with his ideas and pictures. Sometimes the site is referred to as M&E.
5. Where are other places I can post my artwork and fanscripts?
http://www.simpworks.com is a great site to post your work at, with many talented artists. At the same server is http://realities.simpworks.com , which is also a good fan website.
Another popular site is The German Simpsons Fanwork Center (http://www.finalesimpsons.de/).
6. I have some cool fanart, but it's not related to The Simpsons. Can I post it here though?
You can, but don't make it a habit. If you have fanart for other cartoons, you can post it in Itchy and Scratchy Studios (http://nohomers.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=26), and if the work is relating to movies and tv shows, put it in The Drunken Clam (http://www.nohomers.net/forumdisplay.php?f=26).
7. I have a simpsons website I would like to share. Is that fanwork?
Post your website in The Simpsons on the Web (http://nohomers.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=12) forum. If your website contains alot of art you made though, feel free to post it here.
You've made it to the end of this thread! Now, feel free to post in this forum with this information in mind.
