Funny episode, but like Chris P. said, this episode acted as a "building block" for the stupidity of seasons 10-12. At least this episode does a great job of mocking the advantages and disadvantages of being disabled.

5/5. Wacky, silly, but brilliant. Nothing wrong with silliness as long as it's handled well, as this episode was.

as episodes whose entire comic strength is taken from Homer being an idiot go, this is excellent. Hi-larious. B+

i think the story is not so important as the humor is really great in this episode.
Many hilarious gags i like a lot. For example when Homer is driving that ice cream wagon or buying his new clothes.

Hilarious episode, with possibly the most sophisicated fat jokes ever crafted...

"The fingers you have used to dial, are too fat. If you wish to purchase a special dialing wand, please mash the keypad with your palm, now."

Its another classic, thats for sure. Chock full of hilarious jokes, and Homer with the computer scene is history.

Favourite quote: "I wash myself with a rag on a stick" Nancy Cartwright with one of the best deliveries of any line, ever.

I'm a little surprised to see how favourable the ratings for this episode are. It's actually one I'm inclined to put in my top ten but it does have elements that I feel work within the context of the episode but are unpopular with a lot of fans. It's a wacky premise but it has a very relatable premise of going to work being inconvenient and the appealing idea of being able to work from home, a luxury not all of us have in our jobs. In that regard, it's a wacky adventure with a rather mundane motivation, which kind of balances it out.

Great light humour with the design of Obese Homer, the names of the various food products, Homer trying to dial with his fat fingers, Homer at his computer and with his "reaching broom", "I wash myself with a rag on a stick" and of course, Dr Nick's unhealthy advice. I think I'll have to watch it again sometime soon. 5/5

I honestly think that this is one of the funniest episodes ever. The design of fat Homer, Dr. Nick, the eating binge, it was all just so funny yet simple that anyone could enjoy it. However, the last act was by far the best. There were so many brilliant gags crammed into the rescue sequence that I laughed nonstop through the whole thing. "The fingers you have dialed with, are too fat" "D'OH!". My chest hurt from laughing after that. 5/5

I think this episode is one of the best O&W's. it was really funny and had some really great jokes. The "The fingers you have dialed with, are too fat" just killed me.

This is one of my favorite episodes, it's classic quality Simpsons hilarity and humor all the way through; definitely top ten material for me. Episodes like this shows that the Oakley & Weinstein era is one of the best things that happened to the show.

The episode was really enjoyable mainly because of its GAGS (see why I typed the word in caps) and its wacky story element that wasn't really off-track or anything like that. Sure, there weren't maudling sentimentality throughout, but this is the episode that is enjoyed in the different kind of view. Overall, excellent. 5/5

I was tempted to vote that option, because of its high overrating :p.

But it's excellent. Not one of the best, but still funny and enjoyable. 9.5/10.

"Hmm, probably better that one didn't hit me."

I'm torn on rating this episode. On one hand it's quite funny and is fairly grounded despite some of the zaniness to it. On the other, I'm not sure if it fires on all cylinders like the best of them. But I'll say a low 5/5 (or an A-) is about right.

I absolutely love this episode. It's so light-hearted and simplistic. Comedy at its best.
