How do I "put" the picture into the sig, so to speak?

Go to your profile, eedit profile, and put this in the box that says where you should put your signature.

URL HERE

Url as in http://nohomers.net/whatever/yeeah.gif

If you uploaded your picture onto a geocities server, log on to geocities, go to file manager, and rename your picture file from a .gif/.bmp/.jpg to a .txt extension, then put that in your signature thing.

Then, when you're done, scroll down and hit the submit modifications button, and viola!

If you want a custom avatar, and the URL is located on Geocities, and it hasn't been changed to a .txt, it'll still work fine, I think.

If your sig isn't working and it looks perfectly fine, it might be because

A. You put in the wrong image url, like maybe http://www.springfieldam.com/images.php?image=homer/homerfat.gif&id=271 . If so, right click on the image you want, go to properties, and you will see the real file name ( http://www.springfieldam.com/homer/homerfat.gif )
B. The Site may not allow hotlinking, like Murderhorn.com

Go to user CP, click on edit profile, you should come down to the signaure box where you enter it. Get the URL of your signature pic by right clicking on it and clicking properties. Now, back in the signature box, enter this code:
