While the gamecube may be a bit "kiddie", that doesn't change the quality of the system. Great games like Eternal Darkness, with twisted plotlines and gory graphics, show that Nintendo isn't afraid to make games for an older demographic. And with Super Smash Bros. Melee, it doesn't matter if it's kiddie, it great fun. But, you being an RPG fan (like myself), must expect less kid themes and more mature storylines. So I respect your opinion while defending this system.

So I've read. One of the things that appealed me most about Ocarina and Majora's Mask were the graphics. These graphics don't come even close to them but yeah, from what I've read, the gameplay is awesome. It's like playing GTA2, the graphics suck, but the gameplay more than makes up for them. :kingme:

You have to see the the footage in motion to see how neat the footage looks. The reason why Miyamoto didn't continue in the same direction from the N64 games is because he didn't want to bring it into a direction with gore, violence, and "maturity." he would much rather bring Zelda into a direction where he can continue making games where most people can have fun.

Most Zelda fans who complain that Zelda's all kiddy and stuff should ask themselves if that change justifies stop playing the series.

eternal darkness, super smash bros. melee, gauntlet dark legacy, pikmin, and luigi's mansion. although, gauntlet, luigi's mansion and pikmin weren't the toughest of games, they damn sure are fun to play. personally i think the new zelda game looks fantastic, and will be a great play. all games, dont have to look realistic or cutting edge to have good game play. mario sunshine, metroid, zelda, and even the wario game all look great.

I love all of the Game Cube games I own except Star Wars Rogue Leader. Too hard, I tells ya. I have:

Luigi's Mansion (a bit easy, but fun, nonetheless)
Star Wars (pile a' puke)
Melee (of course)
Super Monkey Ball (NOT as kiddie as most think. the one player mode is challenging and the multiplayer mode is loads of fun)
Simpsons Road Rage (better for Simpsons fans than racing fans)
Gauntlet Dark Legacy (a great follow-up of the Gauntlet games)

Zelda looks extremely "kiddie" :( (I say this based on facts, not on "make a gay retort")

But anyway, like I always say, GCN over an X-Box anyday. I don't own my own GCN yet, but I can mooch my cousin into selling me his since I play it more than he does. So far, I really like Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil, Lost Kingdoms, Spider-Man, Gauntlet Dark Legacy, Star Wars Rogue Leader and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

I'll admit that the new Zelda doesn't look very good through pictures, but looks amazing on video. It looks very fun and exciting, and has the same gameply from OOT.

From what I've played, I like Super Smash Bros: Melee, for the first couple hours. But after doing the same thing for so long, you get pretty tired from it. Tony Hawk 3 is fun on 1 player mode, and funner on 2 player. Rogue Leader is a very fun game, and is one of the best.

I actually own Animal Crossing (yes, laugh all you like), and it's actually rather fun. Doesn't really feel like the Sims for the most part. The open-ended stucture of the game really allows for you to do a lot of fun stuff in the game, and you aren't really pressured to do anything. Hey, my older brother even likes the game.

I hope to get Metroid Prime soon after it comes out. It's about time we've had a new Metroid game. The first-person perspective is a bit different, but from what I've seen, it seems to work.

Time Splitters 2 looks fantastic, Eternal Darkness is maybe the best game on the system (and the scariest game ive ever played). And for people who say Zelda is kiddie, try to remember the fact that Link is in fact a child...mature storylines may be cool, but would draw a lot of criticism about how children are portrayed in video games and its impact on society yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line is Zelda has always had the same types of storylines and in my opinion is the best series of games in existence with Mario in a close second, followed by FF.

yeah a great loada games comin out over the festive period, though i would avoid the LOTR games as movie games usually are bad unless a good company get a hold of them, Rare for example, or lucas arts, i heard they were meant to be not bad, but nothin special, i cant wait for the new Mortal Kombat on the GBA, that looks sweet and i also want metroid prime, but i dont think we Scots are gettin it till after new year, so timesplitter might have to do, also eternal darkness looks like good stuff

Tons of similarities, including the first level which is set in Siberia in 1990 - you even see a dam that looks like the one Bond jumped off of in the Goldeneye level.

Multiplayer's amazing.

Timesplitters 2 is made of former Rare people who worked on Goldeneye and a little bit of Perfect Dark. Shame that Rare went to the X-Box though...

I own like...11 Gamecube titles

The List: For those Who Bother

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Mario Sunshine
Luigi's Mansion
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
Star Fox Adventures
The Simpsons Road Rage
Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2
Tarzan Untamed
James Bond in Agent Under Fire
Cel Damage
Dark Summit

I do want to get Metroid Prime, Animal Crossing, Timesplitters 2, Mario Party 4 and some other games down the road.

I think that Zelda looks neat too. Use of cel-shading just looks neat. I just wish that developers wouldnt stick it in there uselessly, (Like Sonic Shuffle, and Fur Fighters for the PS2 as an example)

The only thing I dont like is the people who port games to the system always downgrade the quality of the sounds and textures...for no reason. What do they have in there that takes up so much space? A giant music file that's just ambient noises or something that goes on for 5 hours?.....ish?

Alright all, I'm back with my impressions of Metroid Prime. I've played about 50 minutes of the game now, and I'll say this: the game is simply outstanding. The attention to detail is quite excellent, the level structure is well done (as are the graphics and sound), and best of all, it feels just about the same as an older Metroid game. That sense of exploration is still intact, and is reinforced even more due the addition of the scan visor. I feel bad for any GameCube owners in Europe: you won't get to play this game until much later. If you can get this game now, do it.

I think IGN gave JKII:JO like a 7 or something around there. A shame :( I was thinking of getting it to, but now I don't know.

One game I am definitely looking forward to is Bounty Hunter. Looks like a ton of fun. It'd be even cooler if it was Open as opposed to Level-based. What I mean is, you can go wherever you want and do jackshit until you go to a Guild or something and ask for missions. Kinda make it GTA3'ish with Star Wars.

My fav GCN games: Animal Crossing, Super Mario Sunshine, and Rogue Leader.

Other games I am looking forward to: The next WWE game(It better be better then X8), Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.

Does Metroid Have a multiplayer?

Hows the GBA version?

Kefka
11-21-2002, 02:42 PM
No Metroid Prime didn't get a Multiplayer. A lot of people at the IGN boards were like "OMG THIS GAME IS TEH SUX, NO MULTIPLAYER". Well, some of them did. Although metroid isn't a First-Person game traditionally, and wouldn't make a good transition to Multiplayer because there aren't other good characters? Are there? And it wouldn't make sense to be any of the enemies because they can't use the weapons that Samus uses. Also, you don't want 4 Samus' facing each other, do you?

The GBA version doesn't have multipler either, obviously :)

Yeah, the controls are just like other shooters such as TimeSplitters. It really isn't as nice looking as the PC version (you can easily tell the difference between the two when viewing the movie scenes before the levels), but it's still a very enjoyable game - even more so for Star Wars fans.

Hey, I ain't laughin at'cha, buddy! I'm renting it right now and I thought this game was yet another original Nintendo little tyke Pokemon type crap game, but when I got playing it, I can't stop now! I never thought Nintendo would make such a game about moving out and getting your own place. Pretty appealing to me since I'm 17 and coming about towards that time in my life :)

Well, I personally feel that the controls for those two games are fine - they were just a little difficult to get used to at first.

Just read that Metroid has sold over 250,000 copies already and GameCube soared past the XBox into the #2 spot for best selling console in November. 8-)

Anyone who wants to get Metroid Prime..FUCKING GET IT. Best graphics and sound I have ever seen. It surpassed Halo single player wise. Animal Crossing is great too, especially playing the classic NES games. I am considering getting Sonic Mega Collection ( it has Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and K, Sonic's 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball) just so I can play those classics for a long time.

I just got my X box today :) I already owned a gamecube(lined up at 6 in the morning to get it....) Ive had fun playing X box so far, only thing that pisses me off is that you have to pay for a dvd playback kit....and the new S controller is a BIG improvement over the old huge one...I bought it at target and got a free Madcatz controller, that is big as hell! I just bought Rocky! It's cool b/c you can fight all the same fights Rocky did in the movies. I'm on Rocky III right now and working up to Clubber Lang. Has anyone else played this game? It's probably best for those fanatics of either the movies or boxing in general.

Zelda - will be out... in the next month or two in japan. So don't expect till like Spring next year, or even later. Knowing Nintendo we'll see Delays galore. ;)

Rocky - I'm not a boxing fan. So I'll pass on this one.

RE0 - Haven't been a fan of Survival Horror, I'm going to pass on this one as well.

MP - I think I might get this one because I've heard how good it is, plus I don't mind FPS'.

Melee was formerly my favorite Cube game...but now that I've played a good 11 hours or so of Metroid Prime, SSBM has to step back to number 2.

METROID IS UNBELIEVABLE. Best next-gen game so far, IMO. Not only are the graphics, sound, level design, gameplay, architecture, A.I., and overall presentation off the scale, but if feels exactly like how a Metroid game in 3-D should. Go in expecting a Metroid game, not a FPS, and you'll have one of the best gaming experiences of your life. Just stay away from FAQs and spoilers.

HOWEVER, my most anticipated game is indeed The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I'm a rabid Zelda fan, and those recent movies of the game in motion made my jaw drop. Can't wait for this one.

I heard that Nintendo may go bankrupt because the didn't sell as many Gamecubes as they planned on selling. I also heard that Nintendo sold it's stock in Rare to Microsoft. Meaning that games from the makers of Perfect Dark and Goldeneye wouldn't be able to make games for Microsoft's rival company Sony. I hope that these are simply rumors, I can't imagine a world without the maker of the Nintendo.

well ninty arent goin bust, cmon, they are the second biggest connsole maker (EU anyway) and own about 90% of the handheld market, and a little thing called pokemon that just wont die, they would have to do something seriously wrong to put all there eggs in one basket so to speak and make themselves bust

On Rare, yeah its true, but i dont care, it took them like 3-4 years to make a good game, and they all turn out very similar, so they aint the most profitable, and it aint really a big loss, they were good for n64, when no other developers were about, but now everybody wants ninty, and lets face it, retro and capcom way more original and are better

So what if Capcom is the king of the rehash. I still like their games, and will play them. Of course, I'm not fanatical enough to buy every single one of them, and they are doing it just to gain money, but so what? Every company is mostly doing it for the cash. Just play what you like.

On topic, the GameCube and GBA are great ventures for Nintendo. I haven't had as much fun with their games in years, and that's saying a lot. The two systems actually work well as a team: one for the new stuff, and the other for the old-school gamer in a good deal of us. Their connection bonuses are also pretty neat, and they've also been managing to get companies to make games for them again and have some exclusives (Capcom, for example). Even Square is starting to contribute a little! They still have some difficulties in certain things (advertising, anyone?), but they're starting to fix their mistakes.

And if Retro Studios keeps churning out games with as high a quality as Metroid Prime, I'll keep having more trust in them. Prime is one hell of a fantastic game.

I reccomend renting Star Fox Adventures, the game looks great, but man it is so short. Its just not as complicated or stupendous as like...Perfect Dark or Banjo-Tooie. Its pretty much a simplified Zelda with easy puzzles and..well...nothing too special.

I just own it because I always wanted a game where Fox is out of his Arwing. It...somewhat fufilled my need.

So far, (I dont mean to sound anti-console this and that) but I keep hearing that the PS2 and X-Box systems keep breaking or something...and I barely heard of a GCN or GBA getting busted.

They probably modded their systems or something, I dont know. It just happens once in awhile on the Extended Play boards...

I cant wait for Piknin 2, Animal Crossing 2, and the Mario sequel/sports titles.

I did not say anything about them just making the games for money(though every company is) and i didnt say anything about their games being bad. I was only stating that they put out basically the same game over and over, and i think you helped proof my point in saying that they arent original.

Bartman, Nintendo's systems are the most reliable and durable. If you're tough on your Cube, ie kicking it, having it fall of the ledges while using a wired controller (which you shouldn't, get a wavebird). The gamecube will take all of that.

If those kind of things happened to a PS2, expect it to break and to call Sony up and such.

if capcom makes an original game it makes a sequal to it and then a sequal to that. but, they're smart. if you make a game that sells millions of copies and makes the company millions are you going to just say ,"That was great but there's no way we can repeat that. Let's give up and create new games." no you're not. you're going to milk that game for all the money it's worth by making sequals. i agree capcom makes some good games, but their ideas aren't exactly original. if they make a game that flops, oh well they say make a 5th sequal to street fighter 3 that's exactly the same as street fighter 3's last sequal to a sequal. with the only difference being 2 new characters and 3 new unlockable arenas. because we can make more money off of a well known game. to sum it up. capcom has some good games, but will wring every drop of money out of their popular franchises as they can.

I have this thing for the "addictive" games. When I bought the Sims, I thought it was addicting for a few weeks. Later, I suddenly stopped playing the game cold-turkey for no reason. This later happened for Animal Crossing. At first I thought it was great, but later I was like, "What's the point of all this collecting?" Not to say AC is a bad game. I still think it's a very good game.

Handsome Pete

Odd how I'm still playing Animal Crossing after these last two months or so...I guess it helps that I have an older brother who managed to get hooked on the game. Helps us keep interest in it or something.

From my experience, Nintendo's stuff is really built to last. I've had things happen to a couple of my systems (including having one temporarily not operate after recieving a surge of power). After these "accidents' happened, they still functioned as well as the day I got them.

And I'll state this again: So what if Capcom is the king of the rehash. Ok, they're not the most original of companies, but who really is anymore? If one of them creates a new type of game, other companies will jump over the idea and create clones of it. Most companies do it, it's just that Capcom does it the most...and they usually redo their own games anyway...

Fine, fine, I'll drop it. Just not thinking well right now...

I personally like how the new Zelda is going to look. :D

But i mean, think about it for a second, instead of just making a new game with realistic graphics again, Nintendo is going to try something different, which i always think is a good thing instead of doing the same things over and over again.

And if your worried about the gameplay, I don't think nintendo would do something that might ruin the gameplay for one of its most popular series.

Does anyone else hate IGN's Insider membership deal? In the good old days they would give us game info, walkthroughs, and cheats for free. Now almost everytime I need information I get the page that says it's for "Insiders Only". Like today they sent me an e-mail saying they had videos of Wind Waker, and after I take the time to open up the series of links it turns out, of course, it's only for Insiders. Those dirty bastards! They cover both GameCube and GameBoy Advance. Despite how the site's operators are diehard Nintendo fans, they aren't one of those annoying fanboys. Many of them are just videogame fans in general. I go to this site everyday.

Click me! (http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/simpleratings.asp?rankings=y)

This site's called GameRankings. The way it works, it averages ALL the major reviews a game gets, then averages it and ranks the games in that order. For instance, the #1 game is Ocarina of Time, because it has the best average on the reviews.

And...what's that at #5? Hahaha, I laugh at any anti-cel-shading people now. Looks like The Wind Waker is suddenly the fifth best game ever!

(considering things shift a bit each week, this post will probably be dated soon)

finally bought rogue leader brand new for $17.99 at EB (rented it awhile back but never purchased). got it for a low price because i got the store's display case (which looks great) even though the game and instructions were brand new. such an awesome deal.

i'm still in the middle of zelda's master quest, though. playing a lot of games at once right now.

13 days until Wind Waker. I remember when TOOT was coming out. I was counting down the days for months. Zelda games are the best video games of all time. Let it be known...

ShadowBun

^^^Agreed, GravyMaster...

And more good news for Wind Waker: it's pre-sold over 560,000 copies in America, and it's still two weeks until it comes out! Compare that to the previous world record for pre-orders: Ocarina of Time's 350,000 (and no, Vice City didn't break that record, scoring around 300,000). The game's already selling like crazy, and it's not even out yet! Of course, this is partly thanks to the bonus disc.

EDIT: Guess what else? WW's now moved up to #3 on GameRankings! Third best game! All hail Zelda!!

The only thing that doesn't appeal to me about WW is the graphics, OoT and MM looked way better. it probably looks better when you actually play it. I'm still stuck in Metroid Prime so I dunno when I'll get it (was gonna reserve it but everywhere is out of bonus disks) Another great game (though not GC exclusive) is Time Splitters 2, everyone makes a big deal over Night Fire when this multiplayer is way better and has more options (and is made by some of the people that made Goldeneye)

Yeah, TS2 rocks, so much to do, sometimes its a bit too hard though, some of the challenges, but truley is the best FPS since Perfect Dark, the multiplayer is so good when you have 3 mates round and play virus, but there is so much to do and unlock, im sure ill still be playing it for ages

Yeah it was made by some of the same people that worked on goldeneye, but not rare, the first mission has a lot the same as the first level in GoldenEye aswell, same guns, same name, similar objectives (destroy the dish), remember in the Facility level in goldeneye, you meet up with a doctor, called doc doak, that guy was in charge of TS2, thats probably why they have so much in common, its really good game, just its not as good as PD imo

Eh, I have to wait until Wednesday to get my copy of Wind Waker. It's what happens when you don't have anything like an EB or GameStop in your town...in fact, I had to reserve it at Kmart, which means I get this ugly "Kmart exclusive" label covering the box and a crappy guide to go with it. Obviously, I have no intention to use the guide or any other type of help (GameFAQs, etc.).

But at least I'll get Wind Waker very, very soon...

Bah.. I'll get it in summer when I'm working.

Also its possible to beat all the challenges and arcade league in TS2, It just takes some time (first time took me 3 days, second time 7 hours cuz my sis deleted my memory card) and skill. All I have to beat is Nice threads in the Elite League on Arcade. Its worth spending time whn you have all those characters and levels and modes.

In response to Gabbo, GameStop called me up today after school and said they were handing them out to the ones who reserved it. Suffice to say, I was there less than five minutes later clutching my brand new Wind Waker. YES!

Anyways, the game is pretty awesome. So far, I prefer Ocarina of Time's system, what with it being majorly on land. Also, the Ocarina was a far better 'tool' than the Wind Waker has been so far... who knows, though? Maybe it will get a lot cooler...

I didn't preorder it (anyway to get the Ocarina disc anyway?), so I don't have Wind Waker yet, but I'll probably get it in the next couple of months. Looks to be a great game.

Anyways, some news: for us Rogue Squadron fans, EGM currently reports a Rogue Squadron 3 is in the works from Factor 5 (EGM's next issue will have the game as a cover story I think). I'm honestly not sure if I need a sequel, as Rogue Leader basically covered all the things missing from the first game, but if this next one can be any better then the already great first two games, then I'm stoked anyway.

That's an interesting question, actually. I can't really help you out on deciding which on to buy, as I really like both of them and can't seem to remember any reasons for buying one over the other. GameCube has Nintendo's big guns on it (Metroid Prime and the new Zelda), but the GBA has that old-school goodness going for it.

Just ask yourself what games you're more interested in, then make your decision. That's all I have left to say.

Just got an SP the other day (wouldn't have done so without my load of credit at GameStop - it cost me 10 bucks) and it's pretty nifty, but defiitely not worth an extra 100 bucks. If you currently own a GBA and are iffy on whether you need an SP or not, DON'T GET IT. It's basically just a neat novelty item. The frontlight is nice, and the flip-top is nice, but most think (and I agree) that some small innovations arent worth 100 dollars. Thee things should have been included in the original GBA. Bottom line - unless your life depends on having a lit GBA, stick with the original. However, if you currently DON'T have a GBA, and are planning to get one, I would say that the SP is DEFINITELY worth the 30 extra bucks. But when it comes down to it, it's solely up to you. Your decision.

Last time I checked, the "buy a Gamecube, get a free game" offer is still in effect. You can choose from Metroid Prime, Mario Party 4, Resident Evil 0, or Starfox Adventures. Super Mario Sunshine-Really fun but can be aggravating at times
Scorpion King:Rise of Akkadian-Fun but hard
WrestlemaniaX8-Alot of fun if your a wrestling fan like me
Legends of Wrestling-Not as good as Mania but I still like it nonetheless
Mario Party 4-I already beat it,but I still play multi player with my friend
Ty The Tasmanian Tiger-I dont even bother with this game, infact its not even mine it belongs to my 2 nephews as does Mario Party 4

"In all, there are sixteen characters confirmed for the game. Here's the list of characters that we know of so far:

Mario
Luigi
Peach
Baby Mario
Baby Luigi
Yoshi
Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong
Koopa
Koopa Jr.
Koopa Troopa
Paratroopa
Daisy
Birdo
Walugi
Wario

We see lots of names missing from that list that will probably make it in as secret characters. Characters can be paired up however you see fit.

Multiplayer play will, of course, feature heavily in the game. A four player split screen will be on offer, but Nintendo will also be including LAN play for up to 8 players."

04-23-2003, 08:10 PM
Baby Luigi was in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, at the very end.

Everyone I knew who played MK64 picked Toad. "He's the fastest", they'd say. Poor, shallow idiots didn't even know Toad, only picked him for his acceleration, not even thinking about what they were getting themselves in. But I'd teach them a lesson every once in a while. I'd power-slide into them as Bowser and watch them spin--spin out of control and into horrible pain! It was a good feeling...

Anyway, Yoshi's the racer for me. Good Mario Party contestant too.

I don't know, I never got used to Toad that much. It was fun to hit him with a red shell in MK64, though...whenever I heard that scream of his, I always laugh. Now, no more...well, he'll still probably be in as a secret character, if they have them.

And I have not played the Clone Wars, but I guess I've heard it's pretty good. Personally, Rogue Leader was good enough for me. And I don't have much money ever.

Anyone try out Ikaruga yet? I'm thinking about getting it, as I could use a good shooter. Besides, Treasure is a good company, and I've always liked their games.

I loved Toad's scream...not the "OWwowowowowowow!" one, the other one. In fact, that's why I always picked him :( He had a cute voice. Not to mention he was just plain cute. Toad isn't really all that fast. In fact, I think there are a number of drivers faster than him. But he was just always my favorite.

I own Clone Wars. Can't say I like it as much as the amazing Rogue Leader, but its a fun game, and I can reccomend it to any big Star Wars fan. On a side note, if you go to gamers.com (if the link is buried too much under other news, planetgamecube.com also has a link to the news story in question) you can find some screens of Rogue Squadron III, as well as some gameplay details. The game apparently has two player co-op, and various levels that expand on what Rogue Leader did (for instance, there's a speeder bike level on Endor, and there's also some ground based missions, including some where you can get out of your vehicle and walk around and do various things, such as a shot with Luke throughing a bomb in the bottom of an AT-AT). I was skeptical of another game, since I didn't think there was much else to do with it, but it looks great now.

As for Ikaruga, all I know is that the reviews have been REALLY good. Myself, I'll probably want to rent it or wait for the price to go down, incase its not my cup of tea (especcially since the difficulty is supposed to be insane), but I'll definetely try to check it out at some point. If nothing else the difficulty could be good training for me as a gamer.

I saw those Rebel Strike screenshots DtB, and like seeing Rogue Leader for the first time, it's an orgy of classic Star Wars goodness. It's probably the closest thing we'll ever get to having Sega's great Star Wars Trilogy Arcade game in our homes (man I'd wish that game would come out for the Cube).

I cant wait for Mario Kart Double Dash (it's official name). The 2-Character Kart should work well, plus Koopa and Paratroopa (Best. Characters. Ever) are in it.

Pikmin 2 also looks interesting, with the addition of Loozy, the ugly looking wierdo, and Overweight Purple and White-with-red-eyes Pikmin.

Wario World should be good fun, IMO, because I'm an adventure fan.

FZero and Krby's Air Ride look like good racing games to go with MK.

Rouge Squardron III also looks promising.

I will have no money after all these.

So far, I have:
- Luigi's Mansion
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- Super Mario Sunshine
- The Simpsons Road Rage
- Mario Party 4
- Pikmin
- Eternal Darkness
- Metroid Prime
- Super Monkey Ball 2

I will also be picking up The Wind Waker along with the OoT/MQ bonus disc when it releases here on May 9.

Well, as incredibly awesome as that game was, its pretty short (its an arcade game, after all), plus it just wouldn't be as cool without the giant joystick and all, so I have a hard time imagining it being worth it on its own. Perhaps if they padded it in with some other games...

i finally bought timesplitters 2 today, played it several times before. finally finished off skies of arcadia, very long, very enjoyable rpg.

handsomepete: i also purchased ikaruga, i love the game but i know lots of people who don't. the design is something a lot of people can't get over, but I find the gameplay to be addictive.

i must purchase the new mario kart as soon as it is available, along with harvest moon and crossing my fingers for a 2003 u.s. realease of final fantasy: crystal chronicles, so much to buy.

A bit late, but...yeah, I meant the other one too. My brother and I would often play the 2-player Grand Prix and just see how we would do, and hitting Toad with various objects was always the most enjoyable parts of the races. But I'm too hard on the guy...he's not that bad.

And after a month of putting off Zelda: The Wind Waker, I've finally beaten it. Good game, even to the end. The final battle was king of interesting......after all, seeing Ganon wielding two swords in his normal humanoid form was kind of neat, and he's not bad with them either, since he can knock off a heart with each hit and get several hits in...also, I did like that Zelda actually did something for most of the battle (firing Light Arrows at Ganon while you fought with your sword), instead of the "trapped somewhere else" scenario she's always in most of the time.

Ugh...there's some good releases that I'll be looking forward to later (F-ZERO, Soul Calibur II, among others)...I'm not sure I'll be able to get enough cash. Seriously, some of the offers that are coming up look very inticing.

agreed windwaker was top shelf from beginning to the end, although the last battle seemed kind of easy didn't it, compared to some of the other boss fights.

got a little tired of timesplitters 2, but i'll get back into it eventually. multiplayer is definitely great, but it just doesn't have the same feel of goldeneye or even halo.
